APPLICATION :
Low Weight, Rigid, Flat and Good Flexural stiffness makes it a challenging material for a designer. Present day uses are, structural panelling, fair stands, sign making, photo mounting, shop design, false ceiling, partition and door in fills and other aesthetic & functional applications.

TIPS :
Ensure Peel-off foil/film is on till all works are complete in all respects. Strictly adhere to fabrication and erection norms specified by manufacturer.

DESCRIPTION :
Most Commonly used material for structural panelling is also one of the material used in display/signage. These are composite materials engineered in such a way that they become decorative, insulating, fire resistant and maintenance free surfaces. Construction of these panels involves sandwiching thermal and acoustic insulating material between two very thin metal sheets. The metals used in facing are either mild steel or aluminium. In both cases they need to be treated well to resist weathering.

CHARACTERISTICS :
The Aluminium sheets used are 0.3mm to 0.5mm thick. They are coil coated for superior finish. The polyethylene core sandwiched between these is a good thermal and acoustic insulator. The linear co-efficient of expansion of core is ten times than that of Aluminium. The adhesive used should have very good adhesive property. Foolproof bonding is ensured by both chemical and mechanical action.

IMPLEMENTATION AND
FABRICATION :
Facing surface is provided with a peel of lamination or a foil. Implementation and fabrication is simple because of versatility of the product. With proper tools they can be routed, sheared, punched, drilled, bent, curved sawed or hot air welded. They are screwable, rivetable with standard tools and techniques. Since they are thin and light they can be easily transported and can be worked upon at workshop or at site. Availability : Stove lacquered aluminium colour on front face and mill finished on other or with both surfaces lacquered. Imported and available with authorised fabricators as well as other outlets.
