Journey
towards
TOTAL ARCHITECTURE
Encounters
of 'Architectural Kind' are common everyday! Evoking a flurry of
feelings : Appreciation, Warmth, Ecstasy, Awe, Delight and so on.
An
individuals' response is uniquely his own. A response laced with
overlapping layers of individual and gro(u)ped memories.
The
three dimensional realisation of an architect's abstract idea has
the footprints of :
- Definition
of problem through research and analysis
- Conceptualisation
through synthesis and
- Actualisation
through inputs from technocrafts reaching its fruition the 'Master
Builders' version !
Hey!
can the user be left behind? He responds with a vengeance; giving
his version of the 'untold stor(e)y' by morphing the design. The
'Master Builder' is made that much wiser, empathising with users
response and perceived needs. For him it is back to future. Again!
A
mosaic of such collective can be anything else? but a city! Vibrant
to individual and collective responses (to each his own) trying
to grapple with dynamics of change. Bangalore is no exception to
this. Has a bit for everyone.
A
Garden City, Silicon City, I.T, B.T, ET Capital, Capital of Karnataka,
Science Capital of India, Technology hub of Asia...... well, it
is all this and much more. Come and experience it - a journey, an
odyssey.

of sun kissed beaches, west of soaring Western Ghats, of sinewy
rivers washing plains in the south has Bangalore as its jewel in
the crown!
Bangalore
- a city of boiled beans - destination for people full of beans
all along was marked out in 1537 by - the visionary Kempegowda of
Yelahanka. Later Wodeyars of Mysore controlled it. Hyder Ali brought
glamour to it by laying out the famous Lalbagh Gardens. The British
took over in the late 1770's. It retained its dual image of Cantonment
and Civil lines till Independence. Later it became the Administrative
capital of the state and maintained a leisurely pace of life till
1970's. It has since taken the mantle of fastest growing city in
Asia.
Located
on a ridge at an altitude of 949 meters, it enjoys salubrious climate.
It is dotted with parks and lakes viz Lalbagh, Cubbon Park, Sankey
Tank, Ulsoor lake etc., It has an electic mix of old and new architectural
styles from Vidhana Soudha to ITPL Complex, Museums, Art Galleries
are there for the discerning. A touch of the folksy at Janapada
Loka, the classical at Nrityagram, the palacial at Mysore, the sculputuresque
Halebeed and Shravanabelagola, the wild at Bandipur or Nagarahole
are its settings. Well seeing is believing.
Come
along and enjoy the famous Kannada warmth and hospitality and travel
